My 2210 should be delivered tomorrow. I can not wait! I got the 2210 with 62" MMM, FEL, LX4, and a box blade. Thanks for all the help on figuring out what to buy.

Too late, I jumped right on it and went to work. It works very well. It does have a leak. When I parked it for a drink, it had some fluid under it. I need to get under it and figure it out.

Curious if the leak is around the top link attachment. I've read about several people with problems in that area but mainly on the early models.
But, congratulations on the new 2210. They're fine, capable rigs and mine has surprised me at just how much it can do. You'll fall in love. ....

You probably know this but it bears mentioning again. Don't go looking for hydraulic leaks with your hands or fingers. The fluid under high pressure will easily penetrate your skin and it will cause major problems that could lead to amputation. Use a piece of cardboard instead. ....

It may not even be hydraulic fluid, as tractors have a way of holding water from being washed or run during a rain. Here is a simple and safe test, it is by no means conclusive, however, it is easy and painless to do. Blot the wet fluid up from the floor with a clean white cloth (cotton), take out the hydraulic dip stick and touch the wet potion of the stick to the same cloth, next to the fluid botted from the floor. Do the two marks made by the fluid look the same? Are they oily to the touch? Are they fairly clear - no carbon staining as in engine oil? Then you probably have a hydraulic leak. As Ken said, approach with caution. ....

Ken - is the fluid only deadly if it hits you under pressure? I have come in contact with it on my hands before but not under pressure. Should i start digging my grave with my backhoe? ....

The hydraulic fluid is not dangerous to your skin. The problem is when it is under pressure, it will shoot through your skin and cause severe problems. My uncle is a painter and told me a story of a guy cleaning a paint sprayer and hit the trigger shooting latex paint into his hand. It turned black and eventually had to be amputated. Make sure to wear safety glasses as well when looking for the leak. ....

Yep, it's the pressure. Under pressure it will blast through your skin into your blood and tissue. It can cause gangrene and eventual amputation. If this happens to anyone you need to get medical treatment ASAP. ....

Thanks for the info. The leak seems have gone away. I am loving my 2210 - I have 18 hours on it now.
